Spark Hospitality strengthens its leadership team by appointing Mihaela Stănescu as Commercial Director, a key role supporting the company’s continued growth and the performance of its hotel portfolio.
With over 18 years of experience in hospitality and tourism, Mihaela brings a strong combination of operational expertise and strategic insight. She began her career at
Athénée Palace Hilton Bucharest, progressing from front office roles to Front Office Assistant Manager, building a solid operational foundation.
She then spent nearly 12 years at Booking.com, where she played an important role in the platform’s expansion in Romania, advancing to Market Team Manager and leading teams across major urban and leisure destinations.
Mihaela’s experience covers a wide range of accommodation types, from boutique properties to international hotel chains, as well as business planning at property, destination and regional level. She is also actively involved in professional training, public speaking and educational initiatives aimed at developing high-performing teams.
Driven by a people-first mindset, Mihaela believes that sustainable success in hospitality comes from motivated teams, continuous learning and the intelligent integration of new technologies, while preserving the authenticity of each hotel and destination.
