Organized for the first time in Oradea, with Spark Hospitality as the official promoter and communication partner of Restaurant Corsarul.
On November 14 and 15, Restaurant Corsarul in Oradea Fortress hosted a truly exceptional gastronomic event: “Gillardeau x Corsarul – The Refined Oyster Experience,” a first-time national collaboration with the famous French house Gillardeau.
Recognized worldwide for its oysters cultivated for four generations on the coast of Oléron, Maison Gillardeau chose Romania as its presentation destination for the first time, and the partnership with Corsarul Restaurant is a strong validation of local quality and vision.
A menu that told a story
Under the signature of Chefs Eugen and Șerban Pocian, the five-course menu reinterpreted Gillardeau oysters in surprising ways:
- paccheri with lobster sauce,
- risotto with pumpkin cream,
- sea bass with Bouillabaisse reduction,
- oyster tartare in nori seaweed,
- flambéed, fried or Champagne foam oysters, finished with a sea-inspired dessert, oyster-shaped meringue.
The selection of champagne and wines perfectly complemented the experience, creating a fluid and elegant gastronomic journey.
A presence that gave weight to the moment
The event was honored by Guillaume Arnouil, representative of Gillardeau, who was present in Oradea specifically to talk about the tradition, rigor, and excellence that define this iconic name.
His presence underscored the international relevance of the event and appreciation for the way the restaurant interpreted the star ingredient.
